SENIORS Twelve wonderful years ago a group of eager first graders began their first step up the ladder of education. In the fall of 1949 they entered W.H.S. as worthless tree toads, embarking upon their first year in junior High S'chool. Since that day this class has advanced steadily toward the goal of ever- helpful education. In the eighth grade as puddle jumpers they were already begin- ning to advance. As Freshmen they were improving their minds. As Sophomores in their first year in senior high, they got to sit in the balcony in the auditorium during assemblies. Then as juniors they were looked up to by underclass- men and were approaching the ma- turity of the Senior Class. EN, Die Bene RITA ALBERDING, Philo SONDRA ALBERTSON, Philo ,ss Kress I0 The highlights of the Class of '55 began with the Senior Lunch- eon followed by the Senior Play, Senior B a n q u e t, junior-Senior Prom, and ended with what all Seniors look forward to, graduation. During these many years new faces were added to the throng while familiar ones were taken away, but these 174 candidates for graduation were once eager first graders looking forward to gradu- ating from W.H.S. as the Class of '55.
