Band The Winfield High School Band comprised of fifty-two students directed by Howard Halgeiahl carried out many activities during the year. Band performances included the group's play- ing' at all home football and basketball games, their participating in six parades and their play- ing at peip assemblies. Public appearances included concerts at Stew- art Field House March 4 and May 12. At press time the band was planning an outdoor concert to be given in the spring. may , 1, c fr we Allied Youth The Winfield chapter of Allied Youth was organized last spring, and the chartering ser- vice for Post 533 of Allied Youth, Inc., was held Decemlber 3, 1951. Meetings of the organization throughout the year stressed the general purpose, Ther Liberation through education of the individual and society from the handicaps of alcohol, of Alied Youth members. Superintendent Evan Evans, who is a mem- ber of the national sponsoring committee of the Allied Youth, presented the charter in. the ahsence of W. Roy B1-egg, national exec- utive secretary.
