Philo As autumn leaves came tumbling down, Suzanne Sch- wantes, president: Rod Foster, vice-president: and Mary Ellen Lewis, secretary, hiked the Philos to success. Philos captured first in the football ticket sale with Suz- anne Schwantes, Jim Compton, and Karen King leading the hikers. Taking first in the volley- ball games proved to be another success for the Philos. The play, Great Expecta- tions, was presented Novem- ber 9-10 with Miss Maxine Mc- Cormick directing. may , 1, c fr we Allied Youth The Winfield chapter of Allied Youth was organized last spring, and the chartering ser- vice for Post 533 of Allied Youth, Inc., was held Decemlber 3, 1951. Meetings of the organization throughout the year stressed the general purpose, Ther Liberation through education of the individual and society from the handicaps of alcohol, of Alied Youth members. Superintendent Evan Evans, who is a mem- ber of the national sponsoring committee of the Allied Youth, presented the charter in. the ahsence of W. Roy B1-egg, national exec- utive secretary.
