his year's freshmen basketball team Tovercame a rough beginning to make quite a comeback. After losing their first six games, the team won their next eight out of eleven. According to Coach Sumner, those games were not only won by skill and ability, but also by hard work and sheer persistence. The mem- bers of this yearis team did not put in the many hours of practice merely for the thrill of winning, but for the enjoy- ment of playing the game. Coach Sumner said the team really had uno problemsii and this yearis obvious highlight for him was the win over Hurricane. This season the players had their first chance during high school to show their skills and abilities. Many of the team members are very promising ath- letes, including Craig Brown and Jona- than Adams.
