SENIORS As the class of 1986 will look back upon their senior year, the things that will be remembered most are what affected them as individuals. The size of the class decreased' as the year progressed because students dropped out or failed to meet academic require- ments. The changes that went into effect this year had the best interest of the students in mind, but some conflicts rose between those changes and what the students wanted. The new county dress code included the length of shorts and skirts, which had to reach the mid- Brenda Faye Armstead 6 Seniors thigh. Tank tops and see through or cut-off shirts were not allowed. This was also the last year that seniors were allowed to leave after half a day. Homecoming tfence decorationl and assemblies were omitted from the schedule in order to meet the stiff, new requirements set by the state attendance policy. tSeated belowl Dean Vaughan - President and John MCMorrough - Vice President tStandingl Richie Brewer - Treasurer and Rhonda Stinespring - Secretary. As the year progressed, they learned the routine. Sophomores returned to the routine. Guys got to play varsity sports, and girls got to try out for cheerleading. Most finally got their licenses. Juniors had a busy year. They prepared for the prom, took the ACT, and thought about college. Anticipation was the key word for the senior class. During their last year they enjoyed the prom, graduation, and senior trip and planned their futures.
