I P BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT For the second time the faculty and students of Windthorst High have sponsored Back-to- School Night. If possible it was a greater success this year than last year as most of those who came this year had followed the schedule last year and so things ran more smoothly. As usual the events opened with the student council and student body conducting an assembly- the regular monthly assembly for December. At the close of the meeting the president of the student council welcomed the parents and friends. Sister Eleanor, and Mr. Irwin also gave words of welcome and expressed satisfaction at the large attendance. Mr. Irwin took advantage of the occasion to say afew words of well deservedpraise to our faithful custodian, Mr. Eugene Anderle. The student body gave a rising vote of thanks to Mr. Anderle for all his patient kindness to us. He never refuses to help anyone who may need it, regardless of the extra hours put into the job. The schedule of classes was made somewhat simpler than last year as only two classes were going on at the same time rather than four. This made it easier for parents to decide where to go. ln home -making Mrs. Mills gave some practical timely lessons on gift wrapping. Heraudience was so completely absorbed in the novel ideas so simply presented that they did not hear the bell. Sister Ambrosia combined all science classes in a demonstration of a few simple experiments and the use of film-strips as teaching aids in science.
