As the soldiers leave the castle and emerge through the open drawbridge, they realize the rules of the battle have been changed. Regardless of which castle the soldiers have come from, they’ve all been fighting to reach a common goal Each fighter has been pushing forward to attack and conquer new unchartered areas of his individual aspirations. They are no longer members of the same crusade, tfieir causes and their goals in battle have been altered. The soldiers must learn to lead their own charges, keeping in mind tfie strategies and the advice which they have acq uired. Once the drawbridge has closed behind tfiem, these soldiers can use their experiences to advise, counsel, and protect the troops of tomorrow. As, we, the Class of 1 989, leave the security of high school for the adventures in tfte outside world, we realize our fives have changed. Regardless of the interests we ' ve pursued and the clas ses we’ve taken, we’ve all been working towards graduation. Each student has been striving to learn and to understand new topics in his unique interest in life. We, tfie graduating Class of 1989, are no longer contained by the walls of our high school, even our goals have been revised. We must learn to lead our own fives, by applying the skills that our teacfiers and our counselors ftave taught us. Once the doors close behind us, we must use our knowledge to better the lives of the future generations.
