His involvement with each class and his commitment to every student have made him a central part of the spirit of Windsor Locks High School. Because of his continual support, we, the Class of ' 88, proudly dedicate our yearbook to Mr. Robert Oliva Dedic ation The cry of the barker takes us by pleasant surprise. The Big Show parade, its banner flying high, compels us to take heed. Caught unaware, we quickly abandon the ordinary and familiar. We seek out old friends to join us in the extraordinary spectacle about to begi n. Together we feel the pulse beat of “The Big Show. ! iOR LOCKS ‘‘ W IIDERS Its grandeur at once beckons and captivates us, sending our hearts racing. Enthralled by the artistry before us, we willingly synchronize our lives and movements to theirs — they fly, we soar; they perform, we achieve. Their spectacular feats become our own, and we are one with the magic of the Big Top. The fever escalates, and we are caught in its intensity. Entertainment and wonder abound. Circus ' 88 has hit the town! Everything else is supposed to be bad for you, but the circus is good for you. It is the only spectacle I know that, while you watch it, gives the quality of a truly happy dream. — Hemingway Senior Class Officers CLASS OFFICERS: Sec. Mike Mascaro, Vice-Pres. Both the musician and the athlete need to create a balance within his or her group. In every aspect of our lives, this element of cooperation is necessary to reach our mutual goals. When a task seems insurmountable or a job unbearable, if we have others working with us we can pool our skills and accomplish what once appeared to be impossible. Through working together as editors, we have learned the importance of cooperation. We learned to listen to individual views, to understand the reasoning behind them, and finally to reach a compromise satisfying all involved. As we look back on all we ' ve done together, from being doubles partners for four years to being editors of the Herald, we feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment. Looking ahead, we realize that we will build new relationships, while working together with new friends to reach new goals.
