We each leave school with our own special memories. For some of us the memories are of friends, parties, and relaxation; for others, sports, teachers, and homework. Whatever we have done in the past four years, we have found treasure. Familiar events — walking through the halls, talking with friends, games, and weekends, leave an impression when they are gone. Sometimes, however, we were so buried in our everyday routine that we failed to recognize the less visible, more valuable treasures we had been continually gathering — knowledge, ex¬ perience, respon¬ sibility, and a grow¬ ing sense of self worth. We now realize tha t these are the uncovered treasures of high school. We are ready to search for those which still remain hidden. We can’t search by staying where we are. “To Find treasure, you must take treasure with you.” 16
