Our Senior year has finally come . . . and gone. We look forward to reaching the summit of our building years. Anticipation overtook our thoughts and served as a basis for building our future, through planning, preparing, and constructing. When we found we had made a mis¬ take in our actions, we simply renovated our ideas to fit our original plans. In our constructing, we found that the help and understanding of others along the way made the job that much easier and enjoyable. We found that with the guidance and compan¬ ionship of those who helped us, we reached all of our ideals and goals. Together we worked, learned, studied, and laughed. Most importantly, we grew together to reach a common goal — maturity. We have built our lives to prepare ourselves for the reality of being in the adult world. Our new sense of maturity and wisdom have helped us greatly in facing up to this reality. Now, as we look back on our four years, we realize that our constructing has not yet been completed. We will still continue to grow, learn, and build. As we leave high school in pursuit of our own lives, we remember both the good times and the bad. But with this, each of us has grown into a stronger, more independent person. We can only hope now that each of us will, continue to build, grow, and learn from our past and future experiences. Until we meet again, may you all stay happy and well. “How lucky I am to have known someone so special, that saying good-bye is so damned awful.” 16 O CM Page

During the past four years, his guidance, friendship, involvement and understanding have helped us to build ourselves. For this reason, we, the CLASS OF 1981, dedicate the HERALD to: Mr. Robert Oliva. Page
