Dedication The theater trips, the graduation rehearsals, the familiar quotations on the blackboard, and her dedication as an outstanding teacher are but a small part of a wonderful individual. Those who have learned from her in English and Speech and Drama recognize her as an invaluable instructor, and all who know her sense the warmth she radiates. For the sincere interest she projects into all that she does, the Class of 1972 dedicates the Herald to Gladys H. Carlson.

In Memory of Josephine Oates The two generations who were students of Mrs. Oates will remember the emphasis which she placed upon academic achievement. First as the only teacher of mathematics and later as the chairman of a department of eight teachers, Mrs. Oates showed her dedication to Windsor Locks High School. Her work as an advisor to the National Honor Society revealed her pride in the academic recognition of her students. Her excitement for competition glowed during the regional mathematics meets in which her students excelled. Mrs. Oates’ devotion to the school will serve as a lasting memory to all who knew her.
