Welcome to the 1985 yearbook! Tum the pages and take a look. Thanks for your purchase at quite an expense The need for finances are very immense. You'll remember the events of the past year. Some will form laughter, some a tear. We the students of W.H.S., Like to think that we re the best This proves that we do have pride. The Special Pride of '85 . The vile are only vain; the great are proud. Byron stated We at W H S are proud and we are among the great Gag me to the max! Here no. speak no, see no evil. OOPS' DEVIL POWER” Howdy. Dudes! 3 Memorial As for my fellow classmates, many friends, and especially me. Steve is loved and will always be remembered. We could never forget the good times and all the happiness he brought to us so often. The memories of such a sweet person could never be ignored or put aside. Steve has touched all of our lives in such a special way. I love you, Steve, and always will. You've touched my life in a way I'll never forget! Love, Carol I can still feel the heat rising up inside of me. I can still remember the sign of eternity. And thinking of those nights and the light of the moon ... The feeling never fades a minute too soon. An image of a broken dream, caught up in a fantasy. If only you could have seen how much you really meant to me! 4 Memorial A Special Person John Henry Galligan, Jr., has been a devoted member of Windsor High School's faculty for thirty-three years. During those years, he has been dedicated to the students as well as the school activities. He has chaperoned many school dances and collected money at the volleyball and basketball games. We can always count on his sense of humor and his advice, because he cares about the students of W.H.S. Mr. G is truly a good friend to all of us. By dedicating this yearbook to him, we hope that he will realize the effect that he has had on the lives of each of his students. Thank you, Mr. G!! Thanks a lot! John Henry Galligan, Jr., was born on February 12, 1926, and died on February 8, 1985. He was known to many and had many friends. He taught at Windsor High for thirty-three years. He was an exciting part of school. Everyone made fun of him, but never meant any harm. Mr. Galligan always said, I'm the easiest person to get along with, but never mentioned that he was also very hard to get along without. Earlier this year the POW-WOW staff editors decided to dedicate this year's yearbook to Mr. Galligan. This dedication was to show him what the student body thought of him. Unfortunately he died before they had a chance to present him with this tribute. Now, when we go into his room, it seems as if all the life is gone from it. He made that room into a memorial room. So I would like to take this chance to say for everyone at Windsor High, a fond goodbye to John Henry Galligan, Jr. Farewell, Mr. G, we'll never for- get you! Although our school is small, it has accomplished many great things. Everyone in our school is known for something. No matter how big or small, everyone is significant. No one is forgotten in the time he has spent at W.H.S. Every student who attends has a feeling of belonging at our school. While our school changed, the students changed with it. One day soon W.H.S. may not exist as we know it. But everyone who has walked through its doors will leave with a ' Special Pride for everything he has accom- plished.
