Memorial The Pow Wow staff of 1983-84 remembers Mrs. Keller fondly. She began teaching at Windsor High School in the fall of 1961. She taught English and speech over her ca- reer, which spanned twenty-two years upon her retirement in the summer of 1983. Her work consisted of more than just the teaching of textbook subjects. One of her main activities was in the Held of drama. She spent many late nights directing the junior and senior plays with little recognition for her hard work. Her only reward might be a charm which she would add to the bracelet full of charms which proudly dangled from her wrist. She also served as the advisor for the Thespian and Speech Club and managed to generate much excitement for the theater work. Mrs. Keller always added a special element to her teaching. She could, by her own vitality and enthusiasm, make the most “boring story interesting and the most indolent student learn. She really gave of herself in all of her teaching, and her ab- sence is greatly noticed. The stories in English don’t quite seem the same because they aren’t told with the same aura of theatrics and life that she gave them. The loss of Mrs. Keller is felt especially hard since this is the first year without her. She was loved by all, and it still seems difficult to believe that she is no longer with us. At times it is hard to understand why she was taken, but: “Sometimes it’s hard to understand why these things have to be But we know that there arc reasons that we often cannot see. And we can only trust in God and know that in some way It's all a part of his great plan and we’ll understand some day.” Memorial 5

Dedication for Mr. Seng Mr. Seng held many positions in the faculty of Windsor High School. He began work here in 1951 and continued until he retired at the end of the school year in 1983. He went from teaching chemistry, biology, general science and physics as well as holding the position of assistant coach for both the basketball and baseball teams to serv- ing as principal and finally superintendent. His work was never ending, and he spent countless even- ings after school to attend to it. He also attended all the extracurricular activities of the school, home and away, that were possible. As the school finances grew smaller and smaller, he struggled to keep the budget under control in an ever-changing school system. To Mr. Seng we owe a lot of the continuity of our school policies. He was always willing to listen to ideas of how things could be improved. Having an open mind is a very important quality for an administrator to possess; it enables him to look at situa- tions from many different viewpoints. Mr. Seng possessed this and many other characteristics that made him an able administrator. W'e looked to Mr. Seng for leadership and guidance for many years, and it will be difficult without him to lead the way. Fortunately, he left the school in such an organized condition that his successor will be able to manage well. We. the Pow-Wow Staff of 1983-84, would like to thank Mr. Seng for the years that he gave to this school and its students. We would also like to tell him that all of his work was deeply appreciated and will be for many years to come. Finally we would like to wish him happiness and luck during his new “leisure” time; may he enjoy it. 4 Dedication for Mr. Seng
