R u th Cecil SYNOPSISQQ The affairs of the Beverly household have reached a critical stage. Mr. Beverly, a man of large affairs in New York, is surrounded by a family who spends money faster than he can make it. His attempts to curb their 'extrayagance are greeted with sneers. He is about to give up in despair when his ward and niece, Polly Perkins, saves him. Polly is used to a simple free life, unhampered by the demands of the stilted social standards of the wealthy families of ,New York society. The Beverlys, except Mr. Beverly, ane unaware that Polly is an ,heiressfhence Polly is treated by the family as one beneath their standing. She sets 'about to win them to her ideals of life' instead of conforming to theirs.
