Football Roundup Windsor High Schooljs foot-ball team took to the field for the first time in the history of the school on a bright, crisp October day. The Windsor Wildcats, run- ning their plays and capitalizing on the breaks of the game as a Well coached team should, looked really sharp. The score was sharp, too. Windsor Won 50-O over Boykins. For 'Windsor's second game the 'Wildcats traveled to VVhaleyville and came home on the short end of a 45-15 defeat. The third game was played against Holland in a driving rainstorm on the Vlfindsor gridiron. VVindsor again came out on the short end of the score, 18-12. The VVhaleyville Panthers showed their claws as they handed the Wildcats a 40-12 defeat in the fourth game of the youthful Wildcat gridders, career. Windsor invaded Boykins for the fifth game of the season. The Wildcats broke into the win column once more with a 41-30 victory. The last and most thrilling game of the season was played on the Holland athletic field. Holland was striving for a win to throw the league race into a tie between Holland and Whaleyville. The Holland hopes were crushed when Windsor battled to a 35-35 tie. As an interesting sidelight to this game, Windsor had it sewed up on a last quarter touchdown gallop by Bracey, when a holding penalty nullihed the six points. Although the football squad Will be greatly depleted by the loss of seven seniors, much promising material remains for the 1952 season.
