The Crusader Salufes . . . The members of the 1977 Crusader Staff are honored to dedicate this annual to Mrs. Helen Arlena Kelly Turrell who has done so much for the members of the student body at Windsor Central High School. Mrs. Turrell is a person who is compas- A sionate, understanding and helpful to everyone. She is someone students can discuss their problems with whether school or personal. Her motherly iattitude and love for her fellow 1 man always makes us felel that she has given us the best 1'-' advice possible. l Mrs. Turrell was born and raised in Deposit, New York. She is a graduatei of Deposit Central High School and Hartwick. Collegel Prior to teaching at Windsor Helen taught at Roscoe High School and Deposit Central High School from 1944fto 1951. In 1953 Mrs. Turrell began teaching for the Windsor Central School District as an instructor of Social Studies. From 1960-63 she studied at Cortland, Cblgate and Syracuse schools of learning to become certified in the field of guidance. In 1960. she started as a guidance counselor where she has been helping students for the past sixteen years. Mrs. Turrell's outside interests include travel, anti- ques and love for humanity. Her travels have taken her abroad to Italy, Spainf, Africa and Bermuda. In the United States most of her travel has been of an histori- cal nature. Helen enjoys going to antique shows and is a collector of primitive style antiques. , . 1 s rl L Wit, if if swgewilh Q df We the students of Windsor Central High School are proud to have had the opportunity to know and work with W Helen.
