VICE-PRESIDENT - VICKI PETERSON, SECRETARY-TREASURER - PAM HANSON, PRESIDENT - DAVE DESUTTER OUR CLASS Now as our years at W.A.H.S. end Our graduation separates us as friends. We are starting a new life, one much different from our old life at W.A.H.S. We can only hope that we succeed as well in this new life as we did in our first. As we look toward the future, we remember the past. The books, the tests, the teachers, the classmates, and especially the close friends who were important to our high school lives will never be forgotten. The future looks bright for we are ready. The class of '76 has chosen the motto, Let anyone who quits striving for excellence move over for those of us who will not. The Red Rose is our class flower and Dark Blue and Gold are our class colors. The Spirit of '76 lives on forever! Recalling through memories of past school years, We remember experiencing both good times and fears. Together we learned to tie our shoes And how to accept the fact that sometimes we'll lose. We could look back and shed a tear For the W.A.H.S. halls will not be filled with '76 cheer! But the development of our brains And all of those growing pains Have taught us to view the past in happiness Striving to make our present the best. Our teachers, as artists, took us like new clay Forming us into a fine art display! Although our W.A.H.S. memories with us will stay; Our final memory will be graduation day. Our many disappointments and fears Which once were overcome by childish laughter and cheers Now are bigger problems which keep us aware; They're easier to take when there's someone to care.
