Some of The oufsianding aciiviiies of 'she girls have been over-nighf hikes, The summer camping Irip a'I' Fairmont 'Ihe annual rummage sale in 'rhe faII, and The Mysfery banquei' in fha spring. The Iieaiures of The banquei were The puppei' show, Snow Whiie and Ihe Seven Dwarfs, and 'Ihe shadow play, The Highway Man. Aboui' 200 badges were awarded-an all-'Time record in Windom. The girIs have made money for 'rheir Troop freasury by selling Chrisirnas cards, delivering 'IeIephone books, and puffing on 'their puppei' show a+ various firnes. The leaders for Ihe Senior High School Troop were Miss Grinager, Miss Benneif, and Mrs. Crowiher. The younger Jrroop of girls was led by Miss Luskow and Miss Johnson. THE BOY SCOUTS of Troop I0 of Windom were an aciive organizaiion during The years I937 and I938. In JuIy, I937, BiII Casiiedine, PauI OnIcIca. Dean Van Nesl, Roberl Cone, Winifred Dickinson, and Blanche Lees was chosen fo represeni Windom. The olilicers of fhe club were: president Erma Miller: secrelary and lreasurer, Miriam Evans. The club was ably coached by Miss Bufis. DECLAMATORY work 'rhis year was superseded by a one-acl' play in order io provide more adequafe opporfuniiy for a greaier number of sfudehis and lo enable 'ihem 'ro par+icipa'le in a less arfificial acl'ivil'y. The Trysling Place was presenied several iimes in Windom and ifs viciniiy, lhough il' was chiefly prepared for +he Speech Fesiival in Heron Lake.
