Our New Physical Education and Science Teacher Mr. Ted Fosler our Science and Physical Educaiion ieacher, comes from Bridglon. He aiiended Bridg+on High School and lfhaca College. In +he summers, he weni io Holy Cross and Universiiy of New Hampshire. He iaughi al' Norridgewock and Souih Paris before he came 'ro Windham, where he has been coach of boih girls' and boys' baskeiloall, which has kepl' him busy in and ou+ of school. He has done a wonderful job wiih boih reams. We hope he has enioyed working wiih us, as much as we have enioyed working wiih him. All 'rhe srudenis like Mr. Fosier very much, and hope- he plans 'ro s+ay wi'rh us. Ex-Servicemen The Senior Class welcomes back ihree ex-servicemen fhis year: Norman Siuari was in rhe Navy for iwenly-six monihs. He was siaiioned in Texas and New York, and received his discharge in June, I946. Allen Sayward was in ihe Marines for +wen+y-six monrhs. He served ar Guam and lwo Jima. Aifer being wounded, he was siaiioned in Oregon un+il discharged in June, l946. Lewis Cobb reiurned January 3 'ro finish our ihe year wiih ihe senior class. Our New English Teacher Mrs. Nan S. HaTch is our new English Teacher who comes Trom PorTland, Maine. She was gracluaTed Trom Lincoln Academy, Then aTTending Colby where she received her A.B. degree. She also did graduaTe work aT BaTes. Mrs. HaTch TaughT English aT Ricker Classical lnsTiTuTe, Sanford High, PorTland CounTry Day School, Cape EIizabe+h Tive years and WesTbrook I5 years. Under her supervision The school paper, Whispers, has been published. She is also FaculTy Advisor Tor our year book, The Windonian. We appreciaTe The help she has given us, and we all hope she will reTurn nexT year. Our New Commercial Teacher Miss Bernice Edwards was born in Raymond, Maine. She aTTended Gorham STaTe Teachers College and Bliss Business College. She TaughT aT Penne-ll lnsTiTuTe, Gray, before she came To Windham. Miss Edwards has been a greaT asseT To The school. She is liked by all The sTudenTs and we hope she will sTay wiTh us. Our New Music Teacher Our new music Teacher, Mrs. lda Rich, was born aT ATkinson, New Hampshire, She aTTended Normal School in PlymouTh, New Hampshire: Keene and Hyanis, MassachuseTTs. She also aTTended SmiTh College and Lassell Junior College. She TaughT music aT Old Orchard, Cape ElizabeTh and BridgTon and also TaughT in MassachuseTTs and New Hampshire.
