STAMPS AND BONDS We continued to sell Victory Stamps and Bonds at Windhalaa High School this year, The total amount sold up to March zo, 1946, was S492.IO. This is considerably lov er than during the war years but that is to be expected. Those students who purchased these Stamps and Bonds haae helped make xictory secuie MAGAZINE DRIVES Tlal year the maga7me dr1ve was dnided into two parts The schools commission was given to the physical education department For two weeks starting September 1 1 all the students were out selling sub scriptions for Cmwrll Collin Maga 11105 The high salesman was Doreen Moore The Business Manager was Sally Corson Bexerly Libby had charge of the 'Vlaxn Room Doris Perkins the Commercial Room Ora Haskell the Freshman Room and Ne1l Lowell the Eighth Grade Room From the total amount of S246 50 the school received a commission of S147 95 Individual prizes were taken from this amount The Curtis Drive started September 14 and lasted two weeks Forest Tyler was the manager and v s aided by Jane Hawkes Elizabeth Foye Barbara Durant and Evora Moore The total of the subscriptions sold was S1 S4 75 and the school recelved S50 O7 SPEARING CONTEST The speaking contest was held at the high school on March 29 The pro gi 1m was as follows Scratch the New sboy s Dog The Redwoods Ianice Entertains Her Sister s The Death of Szdnes Carton Little Brothei Are You a Bill Smith?
