After we had had some time to get acquainted, we elected our first class officers. Kenneth Shane was President, Paul Hatcher, Vice-President, Jacqueline Gaucher, Secretary, Angela Sledjeski, Treasurer, and Mr. Pastore was our Faculty Advisor. Our first social gathering was the Freshman Frolic which was held in the new Case Gym- nasium on March 31. 1950-1951 As sophomores we had new importance for there were now lowly freshmen to look down upon. We elected Roderick Boucher, President, Richard Crawford, Vice-President, Marjorie Gottlieb, Secretary, Shirley Vadnais, Treasurer, and Mr. Deady as our Faculty Advisor. Couples danced to the theme of an Irish Jig at the sophomore dance which was held on March 18 in the Case Gymnasium. Richard Crawford was general chairman of the dance. 1951-1952 Our junior officers were: David Cote, President, Richard Gambino, Vice-President, Sue MacMillan, Secretary, and Dianna Volle, Treasurer. We chose Mr. Lawson to be our Faculty Advisor. Robert Gardiner and Patricia Podmore were elected as representatives to the Athletic Council. Edward Knapp was chairman of the Junior Prom which was held on May 5 in Case Gymnasium. The theme of the dance was Enchantment. The Queen was Patricia Podmore and her attendants were Sue MacMillan, Nancy MacMillan, Dianna Volle, and Norma Lis. 1952-1953 Our last year at Windham! Our most eventful year got underway with the choice of Mrs. Mahoney as Faculty Advisor. Our officers were: Richard Gambino, President, Russell Potter, Vice-President, Judith Ridgeway, Secretary, and Priscilla Gilman, Trea- surer. James Gergler and Maurine Leonard were our Athletic Council representatives. Pumpkins, Squirrels, and colorful autumn leaves decorated Case Gymnasium November 15 at the Autumn Nocturne. Judith Ridgeway was chosen Queen and was attended by Janet Webb, Patricia Collings, Patricia Podmore, and Norma Lis. Richard Crawford was the chairman of the dance. On December 13 Case Gymnasium was transformed into a Winter Wonderland. Ann Cerreto and Daniel Costello were Queen and King for the evening. Their attendants were Dianna Volle and Robert Gardiner, and Edith Marrotte and Richard Gaylor. The general chairman of the dance was George Boudreau. In February Mrs. Mahoney had to give up being our Faculty Advisor. A faculty committee was formed to help organize our graduation activities. The members were: Miss Thompson, Mrs. Nightingale, Mrs. Weber, Mrs. Maxwell, Mrs. Kind, and Miss Weathern. The class party was on June 12. The evening featured dancing and entertainment. On June 17 we presented our Class Day program to two enthusiastic audiences. The program was a TV show and Miss Thompson was the chairman of the faculty committee in charge. Adrian Atkins was the student general manager. The next afternoon we were off to Ocean Beach to enjoy swimming, miniature golf, or rides on the amusements. The day was perfect. The Class Banquet was held in the Gam restaurant at the beach. On June 20 Case Gymnasium had been beautifully decorated by the juniors for the Crystal Ball, the last social event of out Windham years. George Boudreau was general chairman and Mrs. Weber was the Faculty Advisor. The climax of our years at Windham came with our graduation on June 22 in Case Gymnasium. Professor Stewart L. Garrison of Amherst gave the graduation speech, and the diplomas were presented by Donald A. Kramer, chairman of the Board of Education. From this milestone our paths will be many and varied. 86 A Is K X 'NAI' 1 ,,vJ X 1 X if Q X 1 if xx. 'Ai'-if x X 1, '15, -Q fs 3-. ,gg X F? 512: A .
