Lose Lfle Seniors! You have all been very good, for the past four years. Therefore, to each of you, I give a small gift that will be appropriate in its own way. For you, Muffy, we have a round trip ticket to College Point so that you can accompany Jimmy on his expeditions. Barbara Goose, we give you a pair of elevated shoes. Now you can be nearer Pat's level. For you we have a Joke book, Walt, to help you keep up-to-date on the latest jokes. To you, Jeanette, we give a geometry book complete with answers, to remind you of your love for that subject. Robert, we have a bow tie for you which you may add to your collection. Here is a straw for you, Madeline, so that you will never forget the black and white soda you enjoyed with that handsome Marine you met in Brooklyn. To you, Alfred, we give an address book, which will be of some assistance to you in keeping track of all the 'gals' you happen to meet. Hargaret, to you we give a watch to use in checking the pulse beats of the young in- ternes at Kings County Hospital. For you, Rose, we have a map to help keep track of that Sea Bee's travels. Margie, here is some sheet music for you so that you will be able to accompany Harry when he sings. For you, Richard, we have a box of stationery which, we think, will come in handy when you are writing to Ruth. We have e beautiful doll for you, Donnie, which we hope will keep you company on Satur- day nights. To you, Gwen, we give an orchid to remind you of Easter Sunday in New York. Here is a teaspoon for you, Freda, which will be a start on your hope chest. Leighton, to you we give a song book. May you enjoy many happy hours singing the numer- ous songs contained in it. We have an airplane for you, Jeanne. Some day may you attain your ambition to pilot a plane. For you we have a book of Hovey's poems, Marion. We heard you like his type of poetry. For you, Clara, we have a permanent excuse from classes, to become effective when the 'fleet's inn. Rita, we have for you a diary in which to keep all your personal secrets. We have a bar of soap for you, Barbara Bernhard, which you may Wlather' when you become lonely. We give to you, Dickey, a book on the latest dance steps, so that you can keep up your reputation as being one of the school's best dancers. For you, Jimmy, we have a dish to.remind you of all those you helped todry at different school activities. Harold, we give you a permanent ticket to all the dances at Westkill as weheard this is a favorite pastime of yours. 1 l d SENIOR ADDRESS T0 JUNIORS The time has come for us, the Class of 'L5, to leave the school which we cherish. Now, more than ever, we realize the deep appreciation we have for our fellow students and for the teachers who have inspired us and helped us through our high school careers. We hope that we have fulfilled our obligations and have maintained a scholastic record of which the school and the community can be proud. We are about to face the grim realities of a world filled with war and destruction. We are leaving to you, the Juniors, responsibilities greater than any other class has had before. We believe that you are capable of assuming these responsibilitiesgthat you can carry on the fine school spirit you have shown in your past three years and that you will continue to uphold the traditions of our school. As president of the Senior Class of 'L5, I am proud to present you with the banner that symbolizes this tradition, knowing that you can live up to the fine Standards of the Windham, Ashland, Jewett Central School. Donald Johnson JUNIOR RESPONSE As president of the Junior Class, I accept this banner and all the traditions that have passed down through the years with it. Tonight as you enter into a new world, a world filled with many trials, weame sure that you will be able to conquer them with the same force that you have shown in the past.
