'Me 7456? Every fall it is the tradition at Windfall High to have a Fall Festi- val. It is sponsored by the senior class, and all students look forward to it from the very beginning of school. Who could forget that variety show, or some of the faces that came out of the beauty salon. Of course the evening wouldn't be complete without the cake and pie walks, and the fish pond. The most popular place with the kids was the concession stands. The raffles and movies were a usual part of the festival. The most exciting time was when prizes were given to the best dressed in the parade, and when the door prizes were given away. Windfall led at all stopping points, 19-6, 25-18, and 45-36. Windfall out- scored the losers 13-9, in the final period, lt was the eighth straight victory for the Dragons and their 10th win in 12 starts for the overall season. Junior sensation Toby Burkhardt led the spirited Windfall attack with nine field goals and three free tosses for 21 points. Chuck Jones and Dave Francis added 20 and 11 points, respectively. Windfall beat St. Marys Tuesday and Frankton dropped Knightstown in the first round tilts. at ',-475266 Have you ever sat in study hall and watched how people act that five-minute break between periods? Earlier in the season Windfall defeated Prairie by a 53-32 score, Of the four school participating Windfallhas the best record with eleven wins and two losses, The second game of the afternoon will find Sharpsville playing against the powerful Jefferson team. In the morning the junior varsity team will play. The Windfall cubs will play Sharpsville, leaving Jefferson against Prairie, 'Sana The Student Council is sponsoring an assembly program Monday January 16, 1956. The program is a team of champion trick shot artists, called the Carl Joseph's. S 0 Good sportsmanship is not seen in every school or in every sport that the school participates. All schools have a certain amount of sportsmanship, how- ever some schools have more GOOD sportsmanship than others. These are the schools that people like to see participate in sports. Sportsmanship is the skill or ability to participate in sports involving honest rivalry and graceful acceptance ofthe result of the play, Sometimes the results may not suit you or your school, still it is best to accept the results and think about what you did wrong and try not to make the mistake twice.
