By means ofa time machine recently perfected in the laboratory of Winfall High School, we, the Class of '56, are able to travel into the future and see ourselves as we will be a few years from now. In the future we see that Liz Riffe is the owner of a chewing gum factory. Seems she got tired of begging gum. And there's Don Duck Fisher, racing at Armscamp--trying to make extra money for the little quacks , at home. While still at the speedway, we find Robert Johnson driving a bar car. His old Ford just couldn't make the grade. Rex Retherford owns a chain of Drive-in Theaters. He learned the business from the top down while still a student at Windfall. Charlie Knotts is happily married to Roberta Fowler. We find Reba Waddell back in the hospital. Her fourteen children have just had their tonsils removed. Keith Martin is now in the Air Force. Keith says he would much rather take or- ders from a teacher than from his sergeant. Betty Lange is married and lives on a Mitchell Farm. Howsadl Marlene Tolle is still working at the Tipton Hospital and isstill single. It seems that she never did find that poor, helpless, male patient. Barbara Lewellen has opened her own air school. Keith Martin has become her favorite ace. Ruth Ann Tolle has made a career of the army. She is presently stationed at the North Pole. Donald Fennell finally won a race. He's been midget racing every night for the last fifteen years. Lily Miller has really come up in the world, She is the head mambo instructor for Arthur Murray. Benny Ryan still lives in Windfall. He missed being in school so much that he decided to go back as a bus driver. David Francis is the World's Champion Drag Racer. He also runs his own drag strip. What's this? Cecil Wood owns a farm in Vermont, of all places. He raises chic- kens by the thousands. Rebecca Osbom is ahappy housewife living in her eighty-five room cottage. Wes says five rooms for every member. On a recent trip to Califomia, Peggy Blessing married Gary Crosby. They live in Beverly Hills with their six adopted war orphans. The Crosbys' next -door neighbor is Gwin Fisher. He is a famous movie director and has traded his scooter for a new '65 Cadillac. John Davis, after getting married and having three kids, has become a star player for the Brooklyn Dodgers. We see Joyce Edwards, a farmer's wife. cooking, washing. and taking care of her seven red -headed kids. Fred McCorkle holds the distinctive position of national president of the F.F.A. Don Yundt is the star of the Ohio State track team. He just cleared the 15' 10 mark. Wanda McCorkle hasn't been seen since she left on the first rocket trip to the moon. Purdue gets most of its new information from Larry Bogue, who conducts experi- ments on his twenty -acre farm in Tipton County. Well, what do you know! Ian Cain is teaching agriculture at Windfall School un- der the direction of Mr. Scott. Fred Avery has advanced to the rank of general in the National Guard. Mary Bunnell just finished producing afilm entitled Social Problems of the Short Girl in connection with her charm school. 17
