JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY Sept. 5, 1947, thirty-four students enrolled as freshmen. Officers were elected as follows: Pres., Dick Cunningg V.-Pres., Wm. Mondayg Sec., Howard C. lleathg Treas., Ronnie Thatcherg Sponsor, Mrs. lilack. Highlights of the year were: Initiation of freshmen and a field trip to Loncoln Zoo, Fieldis Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, Illinois. The money for this trip was earned by selling magazine subscriptions. Mr. Nash was our sponsor on the trip. ln Sept., I94-8, twenty-eight enrolled. Officers chosen were: Pres.. Howard C. Heathg V.-Pres.. Stanley Barnes, Sec., Kay Carpenterg Treas., Donna Pattersong Smonsor, Mrs. Ratliff. Three one act :la s were resented b the class and the l l Y P Y mroceeds were iven to the school to be a lied on new stave curtains. Other l g PP rs activities included a skating party, booth at the Halloween Carnival, installation of a pencil machine in the hall and a concession at the if-H fair. Twenty-two juniors enrolled in Sept.. 1949. Officers elected were: H. Heath, Pres., D. Cunning. V.-Pres., P. McCorkle. Sec.g R. Johnson, Treas.g Mrs. Smith, Sponsor.
