SALUTE T0 THE TEAM Here's to the ball team of 1944. Who won every game when they came out on the floor, There by Jim Walsh and Jack Edwin Beach, This ball team of 44 was really a peach, And then there was Jack Brown and Dale Armstrong, They made the team look like a sarong, And last but not least, there was Frankie The Crooner , When he got to hitting, the game was over sooner. You might think this is too built up , But when they got in the game, they really had the stuff, And there was Bax Ressler, whose hands were sticky as molasses, He had much trouble with breaking his glasses. There was Tiny Cy who always,came through, But he sat on the bench like it was glue, Oh yes there was Crouch and Young who had height And when they got in the game they really did fight. So now we are ending our salute to you We are really pround of the team, the red white and blue. -Jack Beach QUIZ KIDS Oh, what terrible, terrible pests we darlings seem to be, Every time teachers turn around they see, alas, we. We are always wanting some essential thing I'd say, If we don't get it the first time we try again next day. We travel throughout the building doing various things, We're never where we ought to be when the school bell rings, We sidle up to a teacher, ask him for a pass, We always seem to get one, for we're of the senior class. We hope some intelligent individual will come to take our place May they always be successful and in the teachers grace. And now we say goodby to you, the illustrious Quiz Kids, we. We are truly very sorry to leave this happy family. -Quiz Kids A LAST WORD Farewell, farewell, alas, alas, The day has come when we must pass From this school in which we whirled f?J And go out to meet the world. Goodbye, goodbye, the time has come, When we from friendly guidance run Into a world of gruesome things, Where no commanding school bell rings.
