HOME ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT The girls in advauee Home Economies department were unfortunate in only having four members. The complete freshman elass is also taking this subjeet. They are sewing, baking, eooking, and studying nutrition. The advaneed students have an advantage by hav- ing sueh as small class, as the teaeher has more time withleaeh students. The seeond semester more girls took up home ee. They have been making spring dresses. Also, they have done sewing for the red cross. LIBRARIAN The VV. H. S. library was under the supervision of Mrs. Harriett Rhodes this year with the following girls are student librarians: Helen Todd, Mary Gunning, Reveeea Meyneke, Helen Jean Brewer, and Karleen Pugh. The library was Catalogued this year for the First time and a picture tile has been started. Mrs. Rhodes has ordered approximately one hundred new books but to date only twenty- seven have arrived. These books have been catalogued and shell and are now in the library for student use. The advaneetl shop elass under the direetion of Mr. Seott built shelves in the library for the books which the sehool reeeives from the Tipton County Library. These Tipton books have proved to be a valuable addition to the XV. H. S. library. Our sehool is very fortunate in having many of the best magazinesavailable in the library, Among these magazines are Fortune, Life, National Geographie, Atlantie Monthly, ete. Our library is one of whieh we ean all be proud.

BOYS SHOP The shop is under the supervision of Edgar Scott. The boys have been taking mechanical drawing which should prove helpful in their later life. This advanced class has been building book shelves for the library and repairing various other things throughout the school. 4 sir sir it GIRLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION The girls of Windfall High School organized a new club for Windfall High School. It was G. A. A. or Girls Athletic Association. The ofiicers are, sponsor, Mrs. Porter, president, Rebecca Meyncke, vice president, Dorothy Smithg secretary, Mollie Tobias treasurer, Bonnie Smith. The G. A. A. were green and White. The aim of organization is to stimulate interest in health and physical activites for girls. Every Tuesday evening after school We play games such as girls basket- ball, volley ball, base ball, and etc. This has been a very successful organization, and the girls have enjoyed it very much. Wiki? PHYSICAL EDUCATION ' Mrs. Porter is in charge of the girls physical education program. The first semester their were two classes, freshman and sophomore in one and juniors and seniors in the other. When the last half of the school year rolled around the sophomore girls were compelled to go with the older girl. The program consists of body building exercises, games such as volley ball, German base ball, and tumbling. This spring we will have track perhaps. This year on Thursday the girls have a period in the gym at noon. This has been enjoyed by all the girls in high school. 47
