FOURTH ROW: C. Dever, G. Cottingham, M. Ericson, R. Berger, C. Castor H. Brewer, L. Davis. FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY We enrolled in the Windfall High School on September 10, 1943. Our first step was to elect officers. They are as follows: Mr. Riffe, sponsor: -Iean Curless, president, Charles Castor, viee president, Helen Scott, secretary-treasurer. The seniors then decided we should go no further without being initiated. Initiated, we were on September 29. It was a very strenuous event but the most of us reeouperated fairly well. We were then confronted with the problem of building up our treasury. After some debating, we decided upon a movie, which we gave March 2. It was entitled Topper Takes A Trip starring Constance Bennett and Roland Young. VVe did very well considering that this was our first experience in sponsoring an activity. This almost brings to a elosc our hrst year of high sehool. We hope to fulfill the stand- ards sct for us in the future. We wish to extend our heartiest wishes to the class of '44, 24

ll.. I 6' I SOPHOMORE HISTORY -an-u1 u N September 14, 1942, thirty-two students enrolled in W. H. S.. as Freshman. In the first class meeting the following ofiicers were elected: president, Bruce Johnsong vice president, Sarah McDaniel, secretary, Sharie Patterson, treasurer, Harold Clouserg sponsor, Mr. Louis Riffe. At the Halloween carnival the class sponsored two side show movies entitled Pioneers of the Plains , and second Tall Tales . On january 27, was the initiation. An old adage, Well begun, half done , seemed to fit our class. On September 10, 1943, thirty-two students came back for another long, hard school term. This year in our first class meeting the ofiicers elected were: president, Merl Hutcherson, vice president, Bruce Johnson, secretary, Bob johnson, treasurer, Wayne Bolinger. At the first of the year we ordered our class rings and now that we have them, BOY, are we proud of them. This year the class undertook several projects in order to help out the treasury. First of all we had our Personalized Stationery sales which was a big success. Second we had a doughnut sale and you underclassmen can take our word for it, doughnut making is one of the hardest and most tire- some ideas for making money that can be worked out, but still we made plenty of money on them and we might try it again sometime.
