JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY HE past three years of our life has been spent in Windfall High, where we've tried to make it a better place for other students like ourselves. We entered the gates on September 7, 1941 as green freshman. The upper classmen extended us and invitation to be their guests of honor at a get acquainted party on the first week of school. The party ended with several disappointed people, we went through the regular initiation that night. To guide our class through the year we elected our officers: Mr. Ritfe, sponsorg Robert Terwilliger, presidentg slay Martin, vice president, Robert McCaskey, treasurer, Gilbert, McDaniel, secretary. Our main source of making money was a blanket club which gave us a good net profit. The second year we met again, with a few less members in' the class, Upon immediate organization, we elected class ohficersz Miss Kimmerking. sponsor, James Fennellg presidentg Doloris Riley, vice president, Ethelyn Bryan, secretary, Dale Armstrong, treasurer. We took part in the annual Hallowe'en Festival, sponsoring the Cake W'alk, competing against the Freshe man and Juniors. It must have been our lucky day because we walked off with first prize. We directed a campaign in magazine sales, for a period of two weeks, although we didn't do as well as weqcould have, it helped the treasury. School closed this year with everyone anticipating the following school year. , We are now about to complete our Junior year, which has been most successful. We organized the class with the following olhcers: Mr. Patter- son, sponsor, Robert Barker, presidentg James Fennell, vice president, Marilyn Berger, secretaryg Ethelyn Bryan, treasurer. Again this year we sold maga- zines to make money, with the class divided into two teams. Early in january we sponsored The Hoosier Cornhuskers , another source of income, which also furnished entertainment to the community. Since several students wanted to learn to dance we have helped to promote some learn to dance parties for the Junior and Senior classes during the year. We presented a class play, Midnight , which was one of our main objectives for the year. The class has worked together for three long years, making money for the junior-Senior Prom which is given in honor of the Seniors each year the last week of school. We carried out our plans for this prom to the utmost of our ability. We have one more year in the fight for our education in high school. In hopes that we will all make good---this ends another chapter in our lives. I 21
