NVarner: Light from the sun travels 186,000 miles per sec. Isn't that a remarkable speed? , Carpenter: Oh I don't know, Its down hill all the way. Berger: I'm kitting something to make theboys in the service happy. Gunning: Oh, a sweater for a soldier Berger: No, a bathing suit for me . Waitress: What will you have please ? The Lord gave us two ends to use, One to think with, one to sit with. Norvene Coverdale owns and operates Ye Perfect Beauty Shoppe at Indianapolis. We just can't figure out why she is staying so close to home. Or can we? Weldom Warner is residing at Sing Sing. He is known as Scareface Warner, Public Enemy No. 1. Weldon's classmates would never have dream- ed of his turning out the public's No. 1 enemy. The Texas Cowgirl, Barbara Rush owns a string of night clubs. She also has her own radio program World's Paradise over the N. B. C. Network Barbara is now breaking into the movies, lots of luck, Barbara. Bob Cyphers, W. H. S. former basketball star, has now taken over Ed Scott's position as coach. His famous team has won the State Bnslcetball tourney for the last Hve years. The world's most famous artist, Clora Graham, has just finished paint- ing the picture Dear old Windfall , for which she is offered 310,000 We hear Clora paints everything but herself. jack Beach and his most famous Naval Orchestra has finally succeeded in getting a contract with WKMO Networks. .lack is also a song writer, his latest song Moonlight Glow is No. 1 on the Hit Parade. Clark McKinney is still looking for what? the wolf. jake is also a blues singer, at the present he is singing in the famous Meadow-Brook Night-Club. Martha Havens and Jack Brown were finally married. They are living 116 miles east of Windfall on a 400 acre farm. Also they are raising seven future farmers. s ii? SENIORS Some of the boys are in the service, The Senior Class is kind of small, We hope the war will soon be over And the class will be larger next fall. The Seniors may think they are dignified Like Seniors usually do. But Mr. Riffe, in the Study Hall says, They act like the age of two. Some of the Seniors are a little worried About their grades in health. We hope that they will buckle down. For knowledge is worth more than wealth. Mrs. Rhoades we will a Sophomore English Class that will always tell her when they think anything is funny so that she can laugh, too To Mrs. Mart, we will an Arts and Crafts class that will not paint everything in sight while she is at play practice. To. Mr. Patterson we will a few more girls to sit around his desk and gaze at him during Health and Safety class. To Mrs. Barr we will a Junior play cast that will know their parts completely at the time assigned. To Mrs. Deitrich we will another bright shorthand class just like she had this year. To Mr. Brewer we will a government and sociology class that will pass at least two or three of the tests he gives. To Miss Peek we will a bigger and better band. 17
