Slesinger Student Nurses' Loan Fund was organized on February 18, 1953. The purpose ofthe organization is to make loans to qualified young women of limited financial means, to assist them in acquiring the education of a professional nurse at the Windber Hospital School of Nursing. The amount of the loan is three hundred and fifty dollars and it is to be repaid at the expiration of six months from the date of graduation at the minimum rate of fifty dollars quarterly without interest. The fund is established on a tax-free basis as are all contributions and may be deducted from income tax as such. ' ' 13
