MARY GUSTAFSON The Alumnae Association of the Windber Hospital School of Nursing was organized in March, 1928. ln the beginning the purpose 'of the organiza- tion was to provide for mutual help and improvement in professional Work and for the promotion of good fellowship among the graduates of the school. Later the purpose was broadened to include the advancement of the interests of the School ot Nursing and participation in the programs of the professional organizations. All graduates of the School ot Nursing are eligible for membership. The total membership for l948 was one hundred eight-one. Approximately one hundred fifty ot these members reside outside of 'the vicinity of Windber. These individuals were scattered over thirteen states, Washington, D. C., and the Canal Zone. In an effort to stimulate interest in the Association and the .School of Nursing an annual news letter is published and' sent to members who have paid the annual dues of 52.00 per year. The regular meetings are held the second Monday ot each month with the exception of Iuly and August. During the past few years the Iune and December meetings have been held at the Pepoy residence. A delightful party follows the business session. We 1 E
