CLASS PROPHEC Y lt was a fair day in May as Swarn and I tread the streets of Iohnstown on way to the train station, this year of 1959. We had a wait of one hour before the Red Arrow would be speeding us along toward Philadelphia. ln front of Penn Traffic we were greeted by an old classmate of Windber School of Nursing, Mrs. Dr. Edward I. Sigmund. Marian, as We knew her, is now wife and office nurse of Dr. Sigmund-better known to us as Edward. After comparing notes for a short forty-tive minutes, we learned that Io Adams is now the Wife of Col. Ronald Kaufman, stationed in Georgia. Doris Brown is in China as a missionary's wife and working along side of her husband. Lois Brown Shiley is taking care of her small family of three girls. She's the picturesque Model Mother. Ruth Calafiore was just seen on her way to see Iohn Wayne in Murder In the Ice House or Who Filled the Ice Caps Last? Teresa Cavatoni is a supervisor in one of the Wards at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. Shirley Hutzell left last Monday to attend the .Swimming Contest for American Nurses in Chicago, Ill. Esther Kissell has been running between Madeira Beach, Fla., and Bay Pines Veterans' Hospital doing a cross work of wading and nursing. Veronica Kovacic is working in Rochester, Minn., at the Mayo Clinic. loan Ringler, another one of the married girls, Mrs. Robert Thomas, is residing in Sunny California. Time having elapsed so quickly, Swarn and I bid Marian farewell, picked up our bags and baggage and headed into a future of suture nursing in Philadelphia General Hospital, Swarn, as Dr. Nusebaum's assistant, and holding up antennae for Philco on off-duty hours for me.
