Pots, pans, and parties! What fun we did have! We really tried hard to prepare swell luncheons for the teachers, but, gosh, we all get nervous. Remember the time we set the table wrong? When one of the girls fell asleep and let the cookies burn? Oh, Panic! The hardest part of it was when the guests arrived. With knocking knees and lumps in our throats we tried to make small talk until the chow was ready. It seemed so funny to see everyone seated at the table looking out of the corner of his eye waiting for someone to start eating. After the first bite, the tension died and we all had a happy time-there was the time we were envied by all the kids when we got out of school to see a demonstration of washing machines. Don't forget how hard we worked to decorate the Home Ec. lab. and you accidently smeared paint on your new blouse. Stop wrinkling your brow and don't worry about us. Ct!! Im and Mr. Dave Rubinoff Long hair or crew cut . . . either way you look at it, Rubinoff was sure to please. He played everything from the Warsaw Concerto up to and including Hot Canary. He kept us glued to our seats morning, afternoon, and night. Sophie, the pig that became our mascot back in '49, came into the limelight again this year when Mr. Cassler brought her out of seclusion for the Johnstown game. Didn't help-sad to say. The Gorgeous Georges really had their T. V. se- crets revealed by Bertram Shurtleff, a former pro wrestler.
