THE 1970 WILDCAT PRESENTED BY THE SENIOR CLASS OF WINCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL DEDICATION The members of the senior class of Winchester High School wish to dedicate the 1970 Wildcat to Mrs. Marcella Lashmett in appreciation of her warm and understanding personality. Throughout our four years at Win-Co-Hi, Mrs. Lashmett, our class adviser, has worked diligently in helping us during the magazine campaign, homecoming activities, and the Prom. Stan Weder was elected president, Dan Sparrow vice president, and Debbie Hatcher secretary-treasurer. In our sophomore year, we elected Brad Baird as president, Jim Campbell vice president, and Lloyd Boes secretary-treasurer. Our float, We've Got the Good Guys on Our Side, Charlie Brown, won second place in the parade. A highly successful magazine sale began our junior year. Our homecoming float, Stamp 'Em Out, Dead Out! received first place. Several of the juniors were in a very successful play, Boys and Ghouls Together. In the spring, the Junior-Senior Banquet was held at the Blackhawk Restaurant. The following evening the Prom, England Swings was held at the Winchester Grade School. Our class officers were: president Larry Hembrough, vice president Merle Dunham, secretary Dixie Spangler, and treasurer Judy Schnake. Shirley Wilson was chosen for Girls' State and Cliff Cox for Boys' State. In the fall of 1969, eighty-six seniors returned for their last year at Win-Co-Hi. Again, during homecoming festivities, our class received first place for the float, We've Got Wind of a Victory. The seniors won honors in athletics and worked in publishing the yearbook and school newspaper. Baccalaureate and Commencement brought the year's activities to a close for the class of 1970.
