Class History The freshmen entering Winchester High School in September, 1954, elected the following officers: Lewis Pate, presidentg Roger l-lurrelbrink, vice presidentg and Pam Breeding, secretary and treasurer. Miss Priest and Mr. Meyers were the class advisers. Initiation and homecoming were the big events of the year. As sophomore class officers the group elected Lewis Pate, presidentg Richard Coon, vice presidentg and Pat Jefferson, secretary and treasurer with Miss Priest and Mr. Meyers as advisers. Class rings were ordered late in the year. The junior year passed quickly. The class netted 8614.83 from magazine sales, received bright and shiny class rings, and with Miss Lawson's help and much practice they gave Onions in the Stew as their junior play. The prom Oriental Gardens was the most important social event of the year. Mrs. McCullough and Mr. Pierce were class advisers. Class officers were: Lewis Pate, presidentg Richard Coon, vice presidentg Roger l-lurrelbrink, secretaryg and Bonnie Shandrow, treasurer. For the senior year Lewis Pate was again elected president of the class. Other officers were Linda Summers, vice president5 Virginia O'Donnell, secretaryg and Pam Breeding, treasurer. Mrs. Glossop and Mr. Goodin were class advisers. Baccalaureate, Class Night, and Commencement were the final activities of the class of 1959. 6 Junior Play5 Student Council 1-45 Pres. 4.
