Settlor (?Cci44, Something new, something blue- --September of 1952 found ninety-four freshmen quiet new but not so blue--just puzzled. It did not take long to solve the puzzle despite the pajamas, limburger cheese, pony tails, and ribbons worn for initiation. Soon the group was well on its way to a very active and successful four years of high school. The officers for the green year were Don Fox, president, Jackie McGlasson, vice-president, and Bill Drummond, secretary-treasurer. The advisers were Mr. and Mrs. Springer. In the second or Silly Sophomore year, as it is better known, the class participated in the many events of the year. The members began to take part in band, sports, clubs, and the other activities of the school. The junior year was the most active one. Activities began with the magazine sales which amounted to $ 1565. It wasn't long before class rings were selected. The highlight of the year was the junior-senior prom which was financed by the magazine sales. Mr. and Mrs. Springer, the advisers, helped a great deal on the theme, How Deep is the Ocean? Under the direction of Mrs. Glossop, the class play, Girl Shy, was a great success. Officers for the year were president, Gehrig Robinson, vice-president, Carole Lashmett, secretary, Jackie Barber, and treasurer, Hazel Evans. Linda Peters and Jim Wade were elected for the Student Council. The last year Miss Priest was annual adviser. Mr. and Mrs. Springer continued as class advisers with the assistance of Mrs. Glossop. This year the class elected Harold Brown, president, Eddie Young, vice-president, Arlene Little, secretary, and Richard Miller, treasurer. Robertine Hoots and Jim Wade were senior members of the Student Council. Baccalaureate, Class Night, and Commencement brought to a close the record of the class of 1956. 20
