During the first semester Jerry Rupe moved to Culdesac leav- ing us seventeen Freshmen. Our initiation, which was called Dog Patch , brought many laughs from the upper classmen. After the initiation, refreshments were served and a dance was given by the Sophmores. The Freshmen cleaned up afterwards. Wanda I-lartwig was our candidate for Carnival Queen. 14

H. S. to begin their second year of high school. Since our Freshman year we have gained three new members, Jeannie Hodnett and Doug Peterson, both from Lewiston. Roy Benson from Kansas. Our first class meeting was held September 14. The purpose was to discuss the Freshman Initiation. We dressed them as Dog- patch Characters and everyone had a lot of fun. Jeannie I-Iodnett was our candidate for Carnival Queen. I3
