Of these fifteen, eleven will graduate in the Senior Class of 53« During our freshman year two members transferred; Glen Riley to Oskaloosa and Robert Strawn to Denison. At the beginning of our sophomore year we had seventeen members. David Cummings transferred from Valley Palls, Don Koll from Maur Hill, Jerry Walters from Oregon, and Shirley Bayles from Easton, but Shirley quit before school was out. Annabelle Beymer transferred to Lawton, Oklahoma, and Jerry .Valters quit school, so we finished our junior year with fourteen members. In the fall of our junior year we presented a comedy, Cheaper by the Dozen. A junior-senior banquet with the theme Treasure Island was given in the spring to honor the seniors of '52. The Senior Class of '53 began its last year with twelve members, since Glenda Ragland and Don Noll did not return for their senior year. At the half-time of the Winchester- Oskaloosa football game, Shirley Miller, was crowned queen and presented a bouquet of flowers by Joe Noll. Lavonne Hiebsch and Barbara Huston, the queen’s attendents, were presented corsages by their escorts, Joe Huston and Leroy Edmonds.
