Once a man who wished to give h.is son the very best advice possible, said, Live such a life, be such a man, that if all the World were like thee, it were a paradise. Perhaps Mr. Grindle never re- ceived this particular advice, but he certainly lives up to it and he sets ai mighty hi.gl1 standard for us to follow. Not big in stature, but tremendously big in character, ideals, and understanding, he is the perfect principal. He has taught us a lesson in tolerance, fair dealing, and sympathy and we hope to profit by this lesson so that he may always recall us with pride and pleasure. MR. BERTRAM A. Ammo. His ability to make discussions inter- esting, entertaining, and humorous is nothing short of remarkable and his sense of humor rates with his brain power to put him on the top as far as teachers are concerned. Miss FRANCES G. ALLIsoN. Tiny and charming, 'but well able to take care of the largest and most unmanageable class, is Miss Allison, the interesting teacher whose entertaining stories of Spain and its surroundings are only rivalled by her vast knowledge of the Romance languages. Well informed on many subjects, always willing to help, advise or be .a friend to a student, possessing more than a little experience and ability, and interesting in every- thing, and interesting to be with - that 's Miss Allison. Miss MARION BAILEY. Charming, witty, youthful, and helpful, is Miss ailey,' the exu'berant teacher who drives to Winchester from Egypt. Mass. eryday, who wears such smooth knitted clothes, who has such superior dra- t' ess, and who has the knack of always saying the right thing at ight ime. Miss Bailey has not only m-ade herself the idol of the Freshies whom s teaches, and become close friends of the students whom she meets in conn ion with our talented histrionic society, but she's tops with everyone in Winchester High School. MR. EDWARD BARTLRTT. The bantering, blushing, bashful boy from Bev- erly,- Bartl The bookkeeping, blithe, Beau Brummel - still Bart! But, the helpful fniend, the extraordinary sports coach, and the excellent teacher - Mr. Bartlett. BUTTERS, our superb mathematician, is one facuty member who has an excellent idea of what it takes to make students enjoy themselves anywhere from the midst of the densest oniginal Cbelieve it or notj to the annual J unior-Senior prom. This learned teacher with the exceptional sense of humor claims that his pet hobby is golf, but those of ,us who have seen his easy, graceful performance on a tennis court wonder. Although he tries to pass himself off to the iS0p'hs and other students, as a stern, strict professor, he can 't fool us - he ls one swell guy. Miss GERTRUDE CARMICHAEL. The guardian angel of the Freshies and a helpful friend to the rest of the student body is Miss Carmichael, the dark, attractive lady who resides in the Wadleigh buiding.
