Text from Pages 1 - 144 of the 1971 volume:

Slow Down, You Move Too Fast You've Got To Make the Morning Last _ After four years of toil and trouble we, the seniors of W.C., will walk through these shadowed halls for the last time. While we were here, we had our fun and made our mistakes and experience was our best teacher. But now we are prepared to tackle the world, and we shall sail off to new horizons. For some students, whose paths will never cross again, this book slows down our todays so that when they become yesterdays, we can look back and remember a friend. A yearbook never forgets. Fall was a time filled with excitement and activity as the Falcon football team started a building year. Pep rallies and parades dominated the beginning of the Senior's final year, however a few people managed to slow down , doing their own thing in their own way. 4 5 The Autumn scene continued with people perpetually on the move; even though, they stole moments to reflect. Snowflakes plummeted earthward, setting the scene for Hoosier hysteria. Following a successful season, Coach Rady's Falcons secured the title of Sectional Champs . A few minutes of rest were, indeed, deserved not only by the team, but by the student body as well. 9 “Hello Dolly ! sent winter scurrying— to brightly light the stage for spring. L. to R. Bunny Raisor as Minnie Fay and Paula Barga as Irene Molloy enjoy the company of Barnaby and Cornelius , Steve McCoy and Duane Fenton, much more than they enjoy running the hat shop. Above Center: Put On Your Sunday Clothes gave full vent to the color and the ramp of Hello, Dolly! R. All Aboard everyone as Shelley Symmes (center) as Ermengarde and Keith Brouse as Ambrose are whisk away by Dolly , Linnda Morgan, to escape Uncle Hoarce. Left: Dolly is beginning her beguiling work on Hoarce Vandergelder, played by Charlie Mills, work amply rewarded as seen in the picture to the right as Dolly becomes the second Mrs. Hoarce Vandergelder. The Broadway Hit for W.C. was under the musical direction of Charles Buckley and the dramatic direction of Lois Longenbaugh. As the sun moved closer to melt away the cold and wet days gone past, many Seniors indulged in the art of slowing down even though graduation loomed ominously in the near future. Preceding the end, the Juniors conceived and gave birth to Camelot, a resplendent display of achievement which will leave behind many memories for many young lovers. Forgotten are things That will never be. Now we must go . . . Having only wisdom to clear the way, Relishing today for the Promised tomorrow --Brandishing truth as a weapon, With the faith That kindness will unlock Any door And the surprises Within. 14 L. to R.
