Class rings arrived which had been ordered in the latter part of the sophomore year. This school year was highlighted by football games, and the juniors were on hand to help keep spectators warm with steaming coffee and other concessions. Selling of concessions continued right into basketball season. It was the first time for concessions stands to be in the old gym allowing for more space and less confusion. Also, the addition of an extra tour- ney this year helped the class financially. The junior-senior prom marked the end of a long-to-be- remembered junior year. Ed Hansen President Bob Marquis Treasurer Our sophomore year was one to remember! At first there was a fight to the finish over class jacket colors. Purple and white finally defeated the other two contestants - - red and white, brown and beige. We think our jackets are real sharp ! Our class party in January turned out to be a huge success. Leading our class activities this year were: President, Ed Hanson, Vice-President, Michael Overmyer; Secretary, Phyllis Birch; Treasurer, Bob Marquis. We ' ve had fun! We have been well represented particularly in sports. Our boys did well in football, track and basketball. What could have been better for our team than having two cute yell leaders - - Pat Meek and Jeanne Shively - - cheering them on? With the arrival of new band and majorette uniforms, Janet Hoerst, Jeanne Shively, and Kay Sandberg made three of the very smart looking majorettes. Along with all this, was the traditional class party. We freshmen have made this a year we can remember.
