PER ANNOS 1955 WINCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL WINCHESTER, INDIANA ; ... FOREWORD Through the years, the echoes of our school days will grow fainter and fainter and perhaps die away. It is the hope of the 1955 Per Annos staff that a glance through tnis book, in the years to come, will recapture for you the many memories of school days. The 1955 Per Annos climaxes four years of planning and the dreams of the graduating seniors for an annual of which all Win- chester may feel proud. The title. Per Annos, meaning Through the Years in the Latin, was selected from suggestions submitted by our high school students. Coralyn Stults and Virginia Braun have the distinct honor of naming our annual. OFF TO CLASS WE GO DEDICATION We, the seniors of 1955, dedicate this Per Annos to our parents who have shown us, through their unselfishness, wisdom, and countless virtues, the way in which we can become better citizens. adminisfr V r« . Tuesdoy 3 luesda ( MC    sy a ' BOARD OF EDUCATION MRS. lONE OVERMYER Secretary DALE BRAUN, Superintendent A plan to consolidate Winchester and Whiteriver Township schools was formulated and nearly car- ried out due in large part to the boost of Mr. Braun and the Board of Education. Had this plan been accepted, it would have meant a step forward in educating the students of both Winchester and White - river Township. MISS SMITH, is shown at the control panel of the inter-com. Her help and familiar voice reading the announcements will not soon be forgotten by the class of 1955. MRS, GRAHAM, secretary to the Superintendent, has been ready, willing, and able to help both students and faculty in any way possible. Her assistance to or- ganization treasurers meant a great deal to the extra curri- cular program. MERRITT BECK, Principal. The job of any high school principal is a tough one but Mr. Beck has taken all problems in stride and given punishment and commendation when it was ap- propriate. We salute him for a difficult job well done. faculty ■■C-. ; ,- V ,.: A MR. JOSEPH SCHER MR. CHUN CHOW MR. JOHN HUBER MR.
