School Annual 1 1 I THE COPYRIGHT 1956 BY Talmadge McDow, Jr Editor in Chief Helen Kilgo Associate Editor Donald Polk Business Manager ( Winchester M uue High School Monroe, J orth Carolina ( ' Dedication In Grateful admission, sincere appreciation, and hearty con- gratulations for the work accomplished in making Winchester School a more distinct landmark, we the staff of the 1956 Buffalo respectfully dedicate this the culmination of our efforts to Mrs. E. Carter Smith. PriHcipal Greetings to the members of the class of 1956. My con- gratulations to you for having stayed with us until your gra- duation. Your journey these past twelve years hasn’t been too difficult, but many of those who started with you did not have your pre- sistence and desire to succeed. Keep your perseverance . There will be many times when life will not be easy and only by con- tinued perseverance and effort will you attain your goal. We have endeavored to lay a firm foundation for those of you who will pursue higher education and to teach all of you stand- ards of clean living, high moral conduct and fair play. Our best wishes and Godspeed. Sincerely, J. D. Chase Advisors i 1 D 0 Dear Senior, Soon you are to graduate from Winchester High School, which gives me reason to write you these words of good wishes.
