ver the past three years, I have seen Winchendon go through many changes. My first year the game room, the snack area, and the com- munications area were strangers to Winchendon. New student mail boxes, a refurbished lobby area, and a new dining hall now grace the campus. People have also come and gone. There are some students who have been here as long as I have, and some that have been here even longer. There also are those teachers, like Mr. Shattuck, who have been around for many years. But change is inevitable, and every year we have added new student and faculty faces to the campus. I have also changed. When I first came to Winchendon, I had burned the idea into my mind that I would hate it here. These past years have shown me otherwise. I came to Winchendon mainly be- cause I was a lazy procrasti- nator. Not only has The Winch helped me by enforc- ing the homework policy, but it has taught me other values that I will carry with me throughout my college and adult years. One of these values is education. These past years I have be- come dedicated to my work not only so that I will get into a good college, but be- cause I wanted to be proud of myself. In closing, I would like to say this to the seniors of 2003: work hard! There may be difficult times, times when you really want to give up, but when life throws you a baseball, hit a home run. Gnly you con- trol your future, so do your- self a favor and do the work now, so that you can make your future bright. Catherine From Class of 2002
