You have learned a great deal about being independent here. You have learned to make decisions for yourself. Let us hope that you have learned to live with the consequences of those decisions. It seems to me that there is increasing tendency in our society to cast blame when something goes wrong. I hope that you will not engage in that sort of thinking. You are the master of your own destiny. When things go well, accept the credit. When they do not go so well, you own that, tool Give some thought to what you are doing. Even if there is not an immediate effect, there surely will be a long reaching one. Relish the results of your positive actions. If your negative actions do not produce immediate negative results, you can bet that they will most likely jump up and bite you eventually! There are lots of adages that express the message. One I like is -- we reap what we sowl Whatever you sow, it is yours to claim, to gather in, to own. Sow carefully. May you have a bountiful and healthy harvest. On behalf of the faculty, Mrs. LaBelle and I wish you Godspeed. We hope that you will visit often. Sincerely, J 1 JULQZZM 5 fzakzaxx J. William LaBeIIe HEADMASTER Dedication For the pastfive years, Mr. Daniel R. Krueger has been a faculty member of the Winclzendon School. During those years, Mr. Krueger has shown his dedication and devotion towards the school, students and members of the Winchendon comnzunity. Mr. Krueger lzas organized the Music Club, giving club members a greater appreciation for all types of music. When tlze day comes that Mr. Krueger would no longer be a part of the Winehendon Family, he will be remembered by the many people whose lives he has touclzed. For his many years of hard work and devotion to the Winclzeizdon School and especially the studentsg tlze yearbook staff of 1992-1993 proudly dedicate this year's Vestigia to Mr. Daniel R. Kreuger. Robert Marr Library - and thank you for being here with us. Bob and Ingrid Marr have devoted their lives to the education of young men at Vermont Academy, Deerfield Academy and here at Winchend on. Their leadership on this cainpus provided the foundation for all that We continue to do here today. To hundreds of men who graduated from here the Marrs provided sensitivity, empathy and firm but compassionate guidance in their formative years. In appreciation for all that they have done for the students and the faculty of this School and in recognition of their devotion to the School the Board of Trustees has elected to offer this humble and probably insufficient thanks from all of us by this commemoration. Bob and Ingrid may l ask you to stand and recieve our heartfelt acknowledgement of a job superbly done. No doubt there are those who find it possible to act without first understanding the situation, but I am not one of them. To hear much, select what is good, and follow it. To see much and take careful note of it, these are the steps by which one ascends to understanding. -Confuscius The truly virtuous man desiring to be established himself, seeks to establish others' success for himself, he strives to help others succeed. To find in the wishes of one's own heart the principle for his conduct toward others is the method of true virtue Confuscius Now for Your Confusion Forget where you ve been get away from where you are know where you are going and most of all don t listen to me or you ll never get where you are going because you will have forgotten where it is Where you are going is always eventually where you ve been and if you forget where you ve been how do you get where you are going? Me Superior education and superior skill are not what make a person greater than another person A superior education only means that you have had the opportunity to learn something in which someone else has not Superior skill is just the same you have had the opportunity to learn something in which someone else has not Wisdom and natural ability are what make you better than someone else A superior education and superior skills can aid a person to become wiser but wisdom must also be attained by keen observation philosophy and experience Wisdom would say that striving to be better than someone else is good but it must be done for yourself and not as a source of torment for others Wisdom would also say that since you have a natural ability which someone else does not it should not be a source of torment to them no one should be held responsible for something that is out of their control If you torment people then you are not as great as you thought you were and certainly not as wise M LAURA JACKSON WRITES Dad I want to thank you for all the love and support that you have given me over the past four years Your the best Dad in the world and I love you more than anything else in the world' john B My four year buddy' Reagan Rules' I love you Mr President' Galin This is our last time before graduation' Aaron SO' Dur fights our laughs will never be forgotten' Remember your house with S B Kakuichi The Brass Pineapple Photo class Be good and keep in touch Taka Bye bye Gangster Chrissy Your a very special friend we had our bad times but even more better ones Good luck with Ron Camping 92 never again' Mercedes My Little Angel Balooga Butt Amy I can feel it' Our week end with Wayne 8: Scott Our food cabinet I m not jewish Mrs jason and her sugar lectures our messy room and our late night talks will be with me forever' I love you ' land Barry Man1low'l Enrique Nice hickey' Where did you get it?
