Senior Class History t THE class of 1916 thinks it almost too good to be true to know that their trials and troubles of High School are almost over. Four years ago the Freshmen came into the old assembly and looked around at the pictures and the clock and ornaments and then finally took their seats. Who would have thought then that .uld b( class? Miss stead and Mi did they wor our number ' able to stand the , Mi: loyal and a stick-together ; Harker, Mr. Legg, Mr. Olm- ! our teachers and very hard teach us. Betore tlie year v lessened. Raliegh Zellers, n id bustle of Winam; back to Ripley. Tony Moose, George and Je; ner. and Joseph Felker decided that their father ' s farms needed them, while Evalyn Degner and Bertha Kroft just quit-uated. In the fall of 1913 we came back bright and early to meet Mr. Geiser. Mr. Rittenhouse, teaching History II and Geom. Ill became a familiar person to us. Miss Hendrickson, Miss Frazier, and Miss Harker taught the High School five days of the week and went fishing c Saturdays. As Sophomores, our own battles, defending ( night sometimes. Here we gain( spirit, being compelled to hold c mainder of the High School. This year more boys left the class, namely, Jerry Hahn, George Wiesjahn, Ralph Kroft, Earl Vanscoyck and Clarence Stipp. As Juniors, we were an important part of Winamac t bemg led how to fight r orange and black all r stick-together High School. We were proud, haughty and tyrannical Seniors and v nized as having a little stubbornness in us. Effie and Tonv Moose came to represent Fairvi Geiser and Mr. Milholla ' Miss Hendrickson still U took Miss Frazier ' s plac Drawing the first seme; however, because of ill health and Miss complete the course. A cooking class was started at the first of the year and is a much-wished-for addition to the course. Only one left the class this year. Ross Wills quit at the end of the first semester and is now attending school at Notre Dame. Three of the twenty-three who will graduate started to school together twelve years ago, Charles Smith. Will Cox and Lillian Cox. Our class has always been represented well in the athletic way. So now, we ' ll leave with very best wishes for the future of our dear old High.
