PROPHECY It was a clear, quiet night on the earth, but a very hilarious party was taking place at the Crystal Crater on the moon. Yes, it was the class reunion of the Class of 1963 of Wilton High School. All of the people seemed to have arrived so I guess we can start our party in orbit. Here we are in a beautiful nightclub overlooking the Crystal Crater, which is owned by Randy Martalock. He always wanted his own swanky place and guess who his right hand man is -- one of his big school buddies, Ronnie Ballwahn. Ronnie has been working here so long that he has developed the typical moon-man antennae with curled toes. Now approaching the stage is Miss Moon of 1973, Miss Judy Buchholz, with her green cheese crown touched off by sparkles from the Milky Way. Judy was always the independent type. Never trust a man -- and still being single she is carrying out her philosophy. Well here comes the blonde of our class, Nora Jean Anderson. She seems to have started her own cheer - leading school on the moon with her ten children as her students. Our class nurses, Betty Burt and Sharon Waege have started the Purple Cross on the moon. They have been so efficient that everyone in our class is still living. Caw! Caw! Caw! Here I am back again. I see Miss Patty Sullivan, head of the National Bird Calling Society, has just arrived. Doris Bever is right behind her carrying her new set of twin girls. She has a good start on her family already. Sitting at the table over at the left are our farmers around the Wilton area. They are Carl Winchell, Myron Arttus, Bob Schendel and Charlie Udulutch, the area Tri-State Breeder Technician. Between them they have produced an amazing new product called Wonder Way Cheese. One healthy bite and you feel like you're on the moon at any time. The three famous astronauts of 1973 have just arrived at our lovely party. It seems they have been de- tained because of their outstanding flight around the sun. They are Lorrie Meacham -- Captain; Mutz Flock — Co-Captain and Mike Rice as the controls. I don't know how this trio ever made such a successful flight, but their great teamwork just have made this possible. The only difficulty was keeping this hungry crew on their diet of moon milk. The band has just begun to stril a peppy tune after the arriving of our astronauts. John Barden and his Golden Trumpet have made a successtu. nit at the Crystal Crater. His great singers are Diana Boetzel and Punkie Purpus who have had lots of experience singing their families of three children to sleep. It seems a new type of entertainment has come on our stage. Nancy Gruen, our great comedian, has her own show, Love That Nancy. She also is busy driving her big Mercury trying to catch that certain someone. Here come our two loyal moonmen, Lester Nauman and Robert Leis. Seems they have made the Moon Force a very helpful organization for detecting the U.S. enemy attacks. Without them we would be in constant fear. Their very efficient secretary is Jean Wadephul. She also has her own little newspaper that is distributed all over the world. Well here comes our old friend Paul Kruse. He has successfully completed his career as a football coach. Any day now we all expect an invitation to the first moon wedding as he is still interested in the same girl. Marilyn Granger, our class writer, has just published her first book, My First Experience as a Moon Woman. This seemed to be a real big hit, especially with Patty Bray as her publidhing agent. Patty is happily- married with her staff to do her work. One of them is Diana Wadephul, her great friend in high school. Watch out! Oh no, what has happened! They have just reported an accident at the base of Crystal Crater. Seems our driving instructor, Rosie Gallagher, has just hit a big moon wall, while showing her pupil, Vera Cox, how to parallel park. Seems Rosie's guy did all the parking for her. Elmer Youngs, the moon sheriff, was called to the scene of the accident to write out the charges. Not only was a wall involved, but one of Gwen Stone's six children was almost injured. I guess they will have a court trial sometime next week. It seems after this reunion, that our class really hasn't changed just too much. They all seem to be their lively old selves, still making mistakes. It is a friendly gathering and we realize that our friends are priceless.
