CLASS POEM The years have gone swiftly by Here at Wilton High. We leave this poem in memory Of all the things that are to be. Allan Martin, a handsome lad. Leaving school will make him glad. Around the town he does drive To be a truck driver he will strive. Leanne Anderson, a friendly lass. Was voted most studious in our class. As a nurse she'll do well. If you want a friend. Leanne's just swell. Sharon O'Gara, cute and full of pep. With the boys she's really hep. Going out is her favorite pastime Mike, Billy and who was it last time? Shirley Boerst. tall and fair, Has a lot of waves in her hair. Queen of our Prom last year Shirley will succeed, never fear. Jim O'Rourke, who drives a Ford, Goes everywhere on his own accord. Making noise and having fun As though he has his work all done. Jim Cox, a comical lad. One will never see him sad. Jim loves to drive the Chevy To follow him would make you dizzy. Helen Phalin, f.ve foot two. Has blond hair and eyes of blue. On Ontario she keeps her eye The name Roger will make her sigh. Delores Creviston. short and fair, A diamond ring is proud to wear. She's full of pep and lots of fun She keeps Norman on the run. Raymond Saxby, tall and lean, On the basketball floor is real keen. Ray is really very smart A Sophomore girl claims his heart. Karen Creviston, a real nice gal To everyone is a real pal. Of the boys she wants no part Which she thinks is very smart. Thomas Schindler, tall and shy. Is an independent guy. A better friend you'll never meet A guy like Thomas is hard to beat. David Dunnum, a wonderful guy, On a Tomah girl keeps his eye. He loves to drive his little Nash So to Tomah he can dash. Roger Von Haden, a farmer wants to be, But, we'll have to wait and see. He loves to drive his father's car It takes him both near and far. Richard Gini, short and plump, Really makes the teachers jump. In study hall he creates a fuss Where Dick is there's a ruckus. Alice Wendland, quiet and meek, An occupation soon will seek. On her finger is a ring The name ''John'' makes her sing. Rosalia Hemmersbach, a witty gal, To everyone is a real pal. On Mark she keeps her eye They'll get married as time goes by. Rodney Wilde, full of fun, Is a friend to everyone. He likes to drive his Chev around To be a good driver he is bound. Peter Kruse, tall and fair. Drives his car everywhere. Peter never causes a riot He just wants to be a pilot. Karon Zuhlke, happy and gay. Saves every penny of her pay. A secretary is her aim in life She'll make someone a good wife. Janet Liefke, a pretty girl. Keeps her hair in a curl. She loves to go out on dates With the boys she really rates. Because the years have gone so fast It's time to say so long at last. Yes. it's time to bid good bye We've enjoyed the years at Wilton High.

CLASS PROPHECY It’s a warm spring night in 1969 just ten years after we graduated from Wilton High. We are all getting together for our class reunion. The first one to arrive is Leanne Anderson. She is now a nurse at Madison General Hospital and has married Ronnie. Soon Thomas Schindler and Jim O’Rourke arrive. Tom is an archery teacher and Jim is a professor at the Universtiy of Wisconsin. The rest of the class joins us and we learn that Karon Zuhlke is now a secretary at the newspaper office. She always did like working on the newspaper. Sharon O’Gara is a beautician and owns “Sharon’s Beauty Salon.” David Dunnum and Helen Phalin are married. We always figured something would come of that romance. Dave is a Nash Rambler salesman. Rosalia Hemmersbach is married to her “one and only” and has a good start on those forty kids she always said she was going to have. We are all startled by a terrible commotion in the entrance and needed only one guess to know who it is, of course, Dick Kruse and Allan Martin. Dick is the owner of a hotel in Chicago. Allan has taken over the Martin Trucking Company, and is earning lots of money to support his wife and ten children. Jim Cox has his own farm and is now looking for someone to do his housework, permanently. Karen Creviston is a model. She liked acting sophisticated in the Junior Class Play so thought with her red hair she might be able to go places. Her picture will be in the next month’s issue of “Life.” A grade school teacher was the profession Janet Liefke chose. She also has several children of her own to teach. Anyone who likes to watch horse races should visit the famous Wilde Race Tracks.” It is now better known than the Kentucky Derby. Rodney has really made a name for himself. Delores Creviston has married Norman and is traveling around the world. The U. S. has just sent up a new space missile designed by Peter Kruse. He has made one that will take us to the moon, finally. We were very honored to have the “First Lady” attending our reunion. Alice Wendland invited us all to the White House when we get to Washington, D. C. Dr. Roger Von Haden gave us his card in case we ever needed him. Someone made the bright comment that we'd probably never need him again if we used his card once.
