CLASS HISTORY JUNIORS SECRETARY: Carolyn Loff VICE-PRESIDENT: Marion Bever PRESIDENT: John Shie ADVISOR: Mr. Gretebeck REPORTER: Carolyn Zellmer TREASURER: Donna Raabe There were twenty-six members in the Junior Class. Our advisor was Mr. Gretebeck. Our Junior Prom was held on May 11th, 1957. The theme chosen was Blue Hawaii.” Layton Blaine provided the Music. The King was William Arndt and the Prince was William Thurow. Those participating in sports were: John Shie, Gary Bever, William Boldon, Larry Devine, James Meacham and William Arndt. Those taking part in A Band were: Donna Raabe, Carolyn Loff, Roselyn Loff, Judith Wadephul, William Boldon, Larry Devine, and John Shie. Patsy Doyle and Lou Ann Pasch were Majorettes. Those participating in Chorus were: Patsy Doyle, Marion Bever, Judith Wadephul, Karen Bever, Carolyn Zellmer, Lou Ann Pasch, John Shie and Larry Devine. Ethel Arndt and Karen Bever were A Team cheerleaders. Patsy Doyle was a B Team cheer- leader. Members of the Health Council were Karen Bever and John Shie. As Juniors we received our class ring. Then we chose our Prom King; The next event was the Class Play, Our abilities as actors were on display.

The freshmen gave us a party on January 4th. We had an enjoyable time. Those who participated in A Band were: Ivan Short, Goldie Winchell, and Karon Zuhlke. Those who participated in Chorus were: Leanne Anderson, Shirley Boerst, Karen Creviston, David Dunnum, Rosalia Hemmersbach, Richard Kruse, Sharon O'Gara, Helen Phalin and Alice Wendland. Shirley Boerst and Goldie Winchell were in the Octet. Members of the Health Council were: Janet Liefke and Karon Zuhlke. Sharon O’Gara and Helen Phalin were B Team cheerleaders. David Dunnum and Raymond Saxby were on the A Team basketball squad, Richard Kruse, Peter Kruse, Ivan Short and Rodney Wilde were on the B Team basketball squad. Those who participated in Forensics were: Rich- ard Kruse, James O'Rourke, and William Sinnott. As sophomores we began our year, To learn Algebra was our fear; It wasn’t as puzzling as it did appear And we now look forward to our Junior year.
